Research methodology and revision policy

How sources, assumptions, historical windows and revisions are handled.

Evidence before interpretation

A source observation, a transformation and an investment interpretation are separate steps. Each historical study states its series, units, sample window, matching rule and source retrieval. Worked methods label their invented inputs as hypothetical. Provider claims link to the relevant official record and keep personal, competition and model results distinct.

Reproducible examples

The currency tool uses multiplicative return translation. The bond tool uses a duration-convexity approximation under a parallel shift. Inputs are validated, formulas are visible and exports retain the assumptions. These calculations do not estimate probabilities or optimise a portfolio. A separate empirical study would need its own sampling, costs and out-of-sample design.

Source scope

The 2022 Treasury study uses the release-time FRED snapshot, not a point-in-time vintage. Missing observations are omitted rather than filled. Official papers support conceptual discussions, but a cited mechanism is not proof that it explains every subsequent price move. Source material remains attributable to its original publisher.

Revision history

The initial articles were published on 15 October 2026. A substantive correction requires a dated explanation and preservation of the previous research artifact. A new date should reflect a real revision, not an attempt to make unchanged content appear fresh. No automated market-update schedule is implied by the archive.
